About Defined Contribution - How it works for the entire benefit plan - Not just Retirement Plans! Here's a simplified version of what Eureka! provides
A) The Employer is empowered to budget the organization's contribution to all of the Benefit Plans year-by-year!
B) The budgeted dollars are converted into Benefit Credits to give each Employee often allocate to specific benefit categories, ie. Health Plans, other former Group Plans, voluntary/supplemental Plans, etc. on a non-discriminatory basis.
C) Following an Employee Education and Communication Process, the Employees are empowered to make informed decisions during scheduled open Enrollments!
D) After the Enrollment Period(s) the Employee's benefit choices are then transfered as data to the various providers of Plans, Programs & Services.
The Defined Contribution design is often referred to as Flex Plans and Cafeteria Plans. While these plans are similar, they each have specific histories and connotations!
